Crystal Carson

Crystal Carson is an elite acting coach who has devoted her sole career to deepening the authenticity of professional actors.
She is the creator of the two definitive classes in Auditioning Technique, “ReActing by Heart” & "Auditioning by Heart”. The first contains an exercise which gives the actor a profound, visceral understanding of what it means to "be present" as the character. The second is an approach to auditioning that opens actor's hearts and minds, creating a paradigm shift that makes auditioning fun, and ultimately books jobs.
After studying acting with Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner, Howard Fine, Eric Morris, performing in over 25 plays, taking various human psychology courses, establishing an extensive career in film and television concluding with a 5 year run as General Hospital's Julia Barrett, Crystal felt a calling to expand herself beyond her own acting career. Believing in the healing that comes whenever film, television or theatre hold a mirror up to the truth about humanity, Crystal was compelled to coach actors, (and even directors and casting directors) to efficiently and consistency create deeper, more real and moving work. Notoriety and success haven't stopped her from constantly honing her own coaching skills to increase her students abilities to tap into vulnerability, truth, and the “flaws that come with being human,” and as a result, the actors she works with reach audiences in a more profound and sometimes magical way.
