hi Stage 32,
my name is Danny. I am an award/winning writer/director, editor and cinematographer. I moved to Scandinavia from LA in 2003 to work on a WWII story to be produced in Finland. I had coached the writers as part of a university film course I teach online. The film, a short by first timers, won a handful of prizes and I decided to stay, hired by the University of Karlstad to run a theory/practice film program.Imagine that, leaving sunny Santa Monica, for a nordic landscape tha makes 40 features a year. But it was worth it. 15- years later I am still here, CEO of a visual story development company called AB Cinemahead, which has coached trained or formally educated over 5000 young storytellers and makers. Some have worked on Oscar winners, others took home top International festival awards.

In short, I was born to teach story development. the Cinematic form is my natural environment, as it is for creatives at Stage 32. Just allow that friction to dance with the flow, without rejecting either.

I was raised in Italy where my parents moved from Chicago when I was till a toddler. Mix cultures and environments and you gain perspective and POV. I was lucky to work as an age 8 child actor in Cinecitta', and some of my fondest memories are of visiting the Fellini set of Amarcord (best foreign film 1974). In film I apprenticed for good directors in Italy and Hollwood.
