Thanks for the add! Working on any other Zombie movies?
Hello everyone! My name is James Nelson, I'm living in Seattle and i just recorded my animation voice over reel! So, now that i have it, the next question is where to send it? Is there a way i can put an MP3 link on my page so you all can listen as well? Any advice or guidance would be great! Thank you!
Larry is right. Soundcloud is the way to go. It's as easy as putting a Youtube link on Facebook or Twitter. Also consider signing up for Voices.com, Voice123 or Bodalgo or other pay-as-you-go voice-casting sites. It's a bit of an investment but it can pay off quickly.
Thanks for connecting! I'm happy to answer any questions about voice over.
Thank you! I appreciate it, I'm still setting up my home studio as of right now. But when I get my reels.. Any advise if where to send them? :)
Everything is digital now, so its more likely you will email them. I recommend the freelance sites. The best one is eLance for lots of VO jobs. Its very competitive but its a good way to get started....

Its very competitive but its a good way to get started. You may want to join some LinkedIn VO groups if you're part of LinkedIn or join VO Universe. The Pay to Play sites are expensive and really competitive. ACX is the spot for audio books, if you want to try your hand at those. Its major editing though. I'd try the shorter books first.
I appreciate all of this! Thank you for your guidance. I'm already on some VO groups on LinkedIn.. Time to get out there!

But I've come a long way with other arts I've set my mind to. I once wanted a chess set made of wood, so I started carving little things, and now I'm an accomplished wood worker that has sold many amazing one of a kind pieces! And its that kind of determination i have for being a VO artist! So if anyone would like to talk about a project, or even just a friendly hello, i would love the chance to get to know all of you!
Hey James. Our VO community is strong here on 32. Jump right in and join the conversations. Best of luck, my friend.
My name is James Nelson, I'm just starting to get into voice over work! Just about to record my demo and get out there! Just wondering if there are many people on here from Seattle that have any advice or help for a fresh voice?

Start with training. I had many years of acting experience but its taken a long time and more than one coach to learn enough to get jobs. Its very competitive. I recommend Curt Hawkins as a coach, curthawkinsvoiceover@gmail.com.
And there are tons of options on-line. Message me dude...
Not in Seattle, but close! Feel free to send your questions. jcd@JChristopherDunn.com
