Janson is an award winning novelist and screenplay writer, author of The Chemist series, first published in 2010. The original The Chemist novel was awarded first place for fiction in the 2010 Sharp Writ national novel competition, sponsored by an affiliate group of the American Mensa Society. He has since written four other novels - crime fiction and historical sports fiction - and his latest novel, The Scrub, a YA sports-themed story about high school bullying, is due out in October, 2017.
Janson is also a medical professional, and continues to operate his private optometry practice. He is formerly the team optometrist for the Green Bay Packers, as well as the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay Men's and Women's basketball teams. Janson resides in his home town of Green Bay, WI.
