About Johnny

Johnny Russell is a Screenwriter, Producer, Director. He started his career as a San Diego Police officer. He is a member of the Organization of Black Screenwriters and the Public Safety Writers Association.

After piloting a patrol car for more than 30 years, his police story, First Blood inspired by true events is an award winning novel.

Johnny has produced teaser trailers for his screenplay, Their Presence which was a Finalist in the Writemovies32 Screenplay Competition. As well as trailers for his script Higher Divine. Both were Quarterfinalists in several highly rated screenplay competitions. He lives near San Diego, California.
