About Joseph

I have written several screenplays including one that was optioned in Hollywood. The stories ranged from a historic true story about an African American living in Iowa during the 1800's as a barber, winning a discrimination case in the state's Supreme Court, and representing the U.S. as an ambassador. Another story was about the bizarre death of my aunt followed by a unique love story based on many news stories in Chicago.

I have published five award-winning children's books and my fifth was released in November 2023, earning the distinction of #1 New Release on Amazon. A new book should be released by the end of this year.

Now, turning passion back to writing scripts and hopefully, a couple of novels.

I have attended several Iowa's Writing Workshop festivals at the University of Iowa where I also worked as Vice President of Marketing, had my own marketing firm where I wrote and directed many commercials and videos as well as created marketing collateral, winning several advertising awards. I just received a scholarship to participate in the NYU Tisch Film & TV Essential 1 year program. I also received a scholarship to attend a special writing retreat in Spain next June 2025 with several accomplished film mentors.

I graduated with a degree in Psychology from University of Connecticut, focusing on Behavior Modification. Then, I went on to earn a M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, concentrating on Marketing and I.T. with a minor emphasis on international business.

Unique traits: . have received a patent and enjoys inventing . love to cook, was a chef for a country club and had my own successful restaurant . sold numerous combines, cotton pickers, and other ag equipment to Chinese and European farmers . hosted several delegations from China and European countries . have worked or traveled to all 50 U.S. states as well as several European countries and China

Caring To Death Crime A gray-haired, eighty-year-old woman mysteriously dies in the evening after conducting business at six of her banks. When her family arrives at the wake to see her lying in state with bright red hair and wearing a duster, the nephew pursues the mystery by overcoming paranormal events and legal obstacles as well as avoiding the wrath of the murderers. Based on a true story, the intrigue is enlightening for those who may succumb to the same evil.
