JONATHAN CASTRO is a New York City native who has been acting since age seven in school plays and just about anywhere else he could. He has also been pounding out stories since he was given his first typewriter at age eight. As an adult, he is remaining true to his creative instincts by working consistently and diligently, carving out his place in the arts.
Most recently, he was a guest-star on an episode of Blue Bloods, and co-starred in episodes of FBI, Jessica Jones and Law & order SVU. He was also the lead actor in the feature film Scenes From A Break-Up, a relationship drama currently making the festival rounds.
He has also had lead roles in both English and Spanish commercials (including a national spot for Chevrolet).
His other works include leading turns as a temperamental womanizing playboy in the comedic mockumentary Not Another Reality Show. The wise but struggling older brother trying to keep chaos at bay in the urban drama Mi Familia. And a derailed young government agent in the genre-bending The Great Reign Robbery; a starring role for which he was featured in The New York Times.
Apart from acting, he also does stand-up, and writes, directs, produces and edits various comedic and dramatic projects under his own Synchronic Productions banner.
