Hi. I'm Kelsey Henderson.
As a recent graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelors Degree in Production, I have a keen interest in designing and making for the stage and screen.
Entering the industry with a certificate II in Entertainment and Theatre technology (2008), I have worked with many companies, including extensive work with the 'Hills Youth Theatre Company' (2007-2011), Mariaa Randall (Half, Costume Designer and Maker, 2011) and The State Theatre Company of South Australia in conjunction with Windmill Theatre (Girl Asleep, Costume Assistant, 2014).
Having specialised in Costume while at the VCA, I have skills in both designing and making costumes for theatre, film and events and hope to keep working in the field for many years to come. I also work on set as a Make Up Arsist.
Most recently, I have volunteered as a Set assistant, Costume assistant and Lighting Operator for Love and Other Acts of Theft by
F I N T for the Adelaide Fringe 2014 and worked with Tooth and Claw on their promotional video for The Stand for 24 Grand (2014).
Currently, I am working with Tooth and Claw again, to shoot a video for VICE magazine.
In the near future I will be working as the designer and maker on Importance of Being Earnest, to be shown at the University of Melbourne. After that, who knows!
I am also a keen baker, so prepare to spend your time with me eating delicious treats
Unique traits: I particularly enjoy making whimsical, inspiring pieces. Costume props are my specialty. I also enjoy working as a Makeup artist.
