Torsten Pearson: Filmmaker.

My name is Torsten. I’ve been fascinated with movies and visual storytelling from a young age (but really, who hasn’t?) and messing with a point-and-shoot as a preteen soon turned into an intense desire to be a filmmaker as a teen. I feel extremely lucky to be alive at this time with great advancements in technology allowing us access greater tools to tell stories with. I bought my first big boi camera, a Panasonic GH4 for the 4K video, in 2014 at the age of 18. I was learning a lot from YouTube creators such as FilmRiot. I joined Stage 32 and found a lot of great people eager to offer assistance. Real life soon got in the way though and I got caught up working my butt off at a manual labor job and soon lost motivation with myself and my vision, so this passion of mine has been locked away for years, gathering dust. It’s now 2021 and I’m almost 26, and I’m finally sick and tired of not being creative anymore.

So, I’m back! Here again looking to collaborate with writers to bring my vision to life. My current project I’m developing is called “Space Oddity”, a reinterpretation of the Bowie classic. My vision for the short is pretty dark and bleak so I won’t get into it here. But I’m excited to be back and hopefully meet some new friends.

Is it just me or is the mobile app version of this site a little barebones compared to web? Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see a search bar or function anywhere, nor can I find the option to post in the lounge vs my wall. The app looks way better and I thought it would give me some improvement in functionality, being on an iPhone, but that hasn’t been the case so far.

Hey all, I'm not sure who actually reads my posts, but for those who do, I would like to send a huge thank-you to those who have responded to my job posting for a screenwriter collaboration. A thousand times thank-you. I didn't expect to get quite the response I did. I've had 6 people so far tell me they're interested, and I'm not sure what to do now. I'm good with collaborating with more than one person, but guess I'll see what comes up, and what you can give me. I have more ideas that will need screenwriters, and I'm sure I will come up with much more. Also, I need to inform those within my correspondence for this project that I will be away for one week for work. I may or may not have access to a computer, so do not worry if you do not hear from me, this project is always on my subconscious, along with my short film I'm producing this year. Again, thank you.

Hey, everybody! My name is Torsten Pearson, and I've recently finished high school and I'm now working to go to college. When I'm not busy working I'm busy thinking up stories, writing up scripts, out shooting scenes, or just kickin' back and listening to music! I currently have a lot of shorts and experimentals that I've been making since I was a kid (none that are worth sharing here). I'm almost finished storyboarding and shotlisting my first "real" short film, though, which I'll be shooting this winter, and I have many more projects I'm excited to develop and produce. Most of all I joined this site to connect- I'd like to collaborate with some screenwriters, because I'm not super great at writing scripts. Also some people to help me develop stories, and actors and actresses I'd like to work with as soon as I move on to bigger projects.
