Grant Maloy Smith
American Rootsy singer/songwriter and film composer

Hi Grant, I look forward to hearing some of your music and possibly collaborating. Best, David

Thanks David - it's mutual. I see you're from OK. Coincidence, because my upcoming album called DUST BOWL is set squarely in OK in the 1930s. :)

Grant Maloy Smith
Versatile composer and roots music performer

Hi All - I have scored 20+ indie films in a variety of genres, including thriller, comedy, action, science fiction, etc. primarily however I am still singer/songwriter of American Roots Music. I tour internationally, and have several records or there. I would love to merge these two worlds in a film or TV project that needed roots music.

Hi Grant welcome and good luck

Michael Borlace

i will talk about using boom mics outside as they will work better than trying to use lav mics. You will be "dressing" the mic in layers. First, put the mic inside a plastic housing called a Zeppelin....

I sometimes take my stinky sock off of my foot and put that over the microphone. Makes a very bad stink sound. JK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy2hkC7kG8I...
