About Kate

Kate is an award-winning screenwriter. She holds a Ph.D. in English literature and is former Chair and English Professor at Rosemont College in PA. She has been a freelance writer and editor since 1985. Kate is also an Irish storyteller, fiddler, singer, and actor. She is a founding member of Philadelphia’s Irish Heritage Theatre. She studied Shakespeare with April Feld Sandor and contemporary drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. ()

Kate has produced four CD's with her music partner, Amy Cloud: two Americana, one holiday, and one children's album, which won national awards from Parent's Choice and the National Parenting Association of America. ().
