'Excellent timing- a talented actress!' (review)
'Hayley is a '5 star' actress, and a pleasure to work with' (Antonio Ribeiro, Storymakers TV)
My passion for acting and performing began at the tender age of five while watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I enrolled at the local dance school learning Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time dance. I loved dancing, but I knew in my heart that it was 'an actor's life for me'!
Later I joined my local Youth Theatre at the Preston Playhouse. Within two years I was performing with various adult drama societies throughout Preston and it was through them I learned my basic stage craft. I gained not only glowing reviews, but respect and admiration for my commitment and enthusiasm. At 16 I studied Performing Arts and later won a scholarship at the newly established Rep College, where I worked and trained intensively as a member of a repertory company.
I consistently work in theatre, film, radio, voice-over and commercials. Some of my favourite theatre roles have been: Lesley in the famous monologue, 'Her Big Chance' ('Talking Heads'), Celimene 'The Misanthrope', Pollyanna in a tour of the classic, the mistress, Val in "Brehan's Women" and Nicky in the John Godber's "Shakers". The voice-overs I enjoyed most are a 'dizzy SnackaJacks consumer' in an animation for Walkers and the Stonewall campaign which I recorded with the BBC. Most recently I have been recording various characters for the animation "Our World" and recorded various voices for the comedy spoof 'I Can' as well as appearing as the evil Ms Higgins. I am equally at home on screen and other roles I have played include: the troubled Sarah in "Sarah", and gregarious Michelle in "Mersey Ties".
Unique traits: Naturally very pale and petite. Perfect for roles from tramp to murderous vamp!
