Joanna Teris

Joanna Teris was born and raised in Astoria, Queens, NY, with her roots in Romania and Ecuador, giving her an ethnically ambiguous and exotic look. Her parents instilled dedication and determination into a fiery work ethic in any craft she chose to follow. Joanna chose the Arts, as her love for it began when she entered her first dance class as a child. She found her place on stage as she studied and performed ballet, jazz, and tap for twelve years. Always needing to be busy and working, she expanded on her passion and began to pursue acting appearing in plays and short films. She studied theater and film while at St. John's University where she received a B.S. in Communications. Upon graduation, she took the next step and landed herself in Los Angeles. Currently, she splits her time between LA and NY.

Knowing that a solid foundation in her craft is vital from her days of dance, Joanna is focused on nothing but honing in on her acting skills and growing as an artist. From the moment she moved to Los Angeles, she dove into her studies with the amazing and talented teachings of Lauren Patrice Nadler. She began to book roles on independent films like DON'T LOOK IN THE CELLAR and leading to her first TV credit on I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT. Her film MADE WITH LOVE was the winner of the 30 Sec Film Festival in Los Angeles. She is featured in the show IS IT ME?, a series that introduces the male and female comedic perspectives in the crazy world of dating.
