Can anyone recommend a good DVD & Bluray manufacturing & fulfillment company? Thanks

Expand commentIn a report 2 weeks ago, Digital Entertainment Group reported this: As expected, disc sales continued to fall, with consumer spending on Blu-ray Disc and DVD purchases in the first six months of 2014 down 8.2%, to $3.26 billion from $3.56 billion in the first half of 2013. But observers say that’s largely a function of a continued drop in price, with Home Media Magazine market research showing the number of discs sold to consumers in the first six months of the year is actually up by more than 2%. $3.56 billions sound like there's still money in the US market for DVD and Bluray to me.

With a return of at least $10/unit depending on the retail price, it makes more economic sense. Thanks for the Great Lakes Media intro.

I came across Kunaki who does small volume duplication and fulfillment on an individual order basis. We're still getting over NZ$20/unit here (NZ) as ON DEMAND/EST offerings are still slim on the ground--a couple of years behind US. Local distributors are still making good money here off DVD/Bluray.
Tui, I usually point my clients to Disc Makers (www.discmakers.com). Very good prices overall. They do duplication and replication.
Thanks for that, Rick.
I am after a free Wordpress theme for a website for one of our shorts. Recommendations anyone?
There are free ones included with Wordpress.
Wordpress itself offers some freebie themes. You can choose one of those and tweek if desired.
None of the Wordpress free themes are really suitable for a film site. Best possible WP options are the photo ones but they are more for photo blogs. Most suitable free one I've found so far that works for a film is LENSA photo theme by Colorlabs but it's very buggy.

But would an animated film even have a screenplay? Or would it have storyboards instead? Sorry if this is a ridiculous question but it shows my level of understanding. I had to join S32 as a screenwriter because that was the closest option to what I actually do. Can anyone give me a link to an online screenplay for an animated movie - a really good one?
Thanks Tui. I'll do that.
Thank-you - that's what I NEED to hear. Am I wasting my time then? I'd heard otherwise to tell the truth. Perhaps I was misled.I'd heard the original author could get work as a screenwriter - perhaps working with the help of others. Is that all nonsense?
I am so ignorant of the whole world of film, so much I have no idea about. I just like going to the movies really.
you ever go to simplyscripts.com? they have lots of professional scripts for you to read

Expand commentI have no interest in writing a screenplay about other things than my existing work. If that means I'm not a screenwriter - then I'm not and so be it. I don't think I want to try to write a new story as a screenplay form scratch as you suggest. I'm just too old to learn such a "new trick" (I'm 61) Probably best to continue what I know and can do well, and leave the rest to others better qualified and more experienced. I WILL continue to pay around with FD but not be too concerned about where it leads me. Love the software so far. Can't do any harm to just know the software. I think a screenwriter is like a playwright - very different from a novelist. I'm working on a new story and have no wish to stop writing it as a novel and suddenly switch it into screenplay mode but very happy to play with turning existing stories into screenplays, just as an exercise.
Producer I went to Rotterdam Producers Lab with gets Oscar nom for short film PENTECOST. Keep an eye out for it.
