Professional Experience:
Fortunately, I don't tend to get type cast as I played a Nun and a Whore in the same year!
Scariest: Performed STAND-UP IMPRO to a paying audience with experienced comedians and comediennes after only six workshops. One of the comediennes said that I had 'Balls of Steel' because I was the least experienced and had no live experience. I chose to face my fears and not run away although I did contemplate it!
Challenging: Played Miss Furnival, BLACK COMEDY by Peter Shaffer with only three rehearsal days left before the opening night. Having just read through a few scenes I accepted the part not knowing that I was virtually in the entire play and hardly off stage. Not one to be easily phrased I shut myself away and completely immersed myself in the script and character. The Director asked the critics reviewing the play each night if they knew who had been cast at the last minute and they had no idea it was me!
Emotional: Played a Mother at Auschwitz in X-MEN: First Class. Having to walk to my death with my children is something I will never forget!
Demanding: Played Hannah in a (Nightmare Sequence) for ULA, Nightingale Opera. I had to run bare foot through uneven ground which was full of briers repeatedly. Then I had to hold my breath for minutes at a time whilst the waves pushed me against rocks repeatedly. I ended up with mild sun stroke and my body was battered and bruised after half a day's filming at Beachy Head in the height of Summer. If the role demands it sometimes you have to endure a little pain if you want to be believable!
Controversial: Played a Wife 'Perpetrator' in a DOMESTIC VIOLENCE corporate video for The Life Channel. When I saw the footage I didn't even recognise myself!
Goals for 2012:
To perform at the Opening & Closing Ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympics games! Result: Mission accomplished. :D
To secure a part in a feature film which will levitate my career. Result:
Unique traits: My voice; smile and wiggle.
