Tiffany Porter's Lounge Discussions

Hello everyone, my name is Tiffany Porter and I just discovered the site today. A few days ago, I received in my email an invite to Stage 32. Curiosity followed, and now I'm here. Thank you to whoever paid it forward- discovering Stage 32 has been the highlight of my day. I am based in San Diego, CA and have been "testing the waters" as an actor in the film community. In the long run, I want to write more and have been working on several school writing projects. I must admit, lately I've been having second thoughts about pursuing film through the school route. I'm a college student, 20 years old, and still figuring out the next step. If there are any industry veterans out there who could provide non-biased tips on what's the best decision to make, I'd sincerely would listen with an open heart and mind. For the past couple years, I have been doing projects, working on my actor's resume, and building connections around town. I'm at this point where I'm debating between going to school for a film degree- when I am already having a wonderful and fruitful experience developing as an actor and writer with the San Diego indie film community, or pursuing an English degree while I'm still in college- I wouldn't consider dropping out in the long run- and once that's done, continue with building my career. I'm looking forward to explore this community, and developing as an actor and writer. Thank you Stage 32, for the welcome.
