Favorite Genre to Write?

What is your favorite genre to write? Or is there one particular genre that you have a proclivity towards more than another?

Seeing your screenplay made... by someone else.

Question to my fellow screenwriters: How do you compose yourself and forge on when you have an original idea (or so you think) and work on a screenplay for years only to see a movie come out that is more or less, your screenplay? I'm just fishing for some motivation because one of my best screenplay...

Take this from one who knows. First, let's start with my Grandfather's works that were copy written, as was my Uncle Lowell Jordan's song " Whole Lotta' Woman " for Lou Rawls by ASCAP. Each estate sti...

I'm sorry to say that it happens. Here's an example - http://deadline.com/2011/05/warner-bros-acquires-turkey-bowl-for-will-fe... For some reason, Turkey Bowls were in the air that year. There were (a...

What kind of music do you like to listen to most when writing?

Sometimes "Happy Writers" pick music to go along with the genre they are writing. to get them in the mood. I was just curious. Thanks.

Zlatan Mustafica

Jprge - Too bad James Horner is no longer with us, may he rest in peace, but one can never go wrong with either one of these incredible composers.

Shawn Speake

I listen to a score that's similar to the story I'm writing.

Sammer Abu AlRagheb

Steven, try music soundtracks to the same genre you're writing. Hans Zimmer is one great composer.

William Zwart

I like to listen to Silence by No One when I'm writing. If someone comes in, I always switch it to Sullen Glares by Leave Me Alone.

Stefano Pavone

Music from videogames - one in particular I like is "Icarus" by Michael McCann (the main theme to the game "Deus Ex: Human Revolution", even though I'm not a big fan of the game itself despite liking its predecessors).

Special Report!

As you start reading this post, you might find yourself wondering! Why would anyone help you with your screenplay? I myself have made the decision to help any new writers on Stage32.com. The good news! I am not charging anyone for it. Why? I do it for the love. I do it for the thrill of the light bu...

Tap My Mind

Hey everyone! I am a New York based artist with several areas of interest but I am here mostly for my screenwriting. I write mostly dark, dramatic, horror infused pieces. I have one completely finished script that I'm about to really try selling. I'm still exploring Stage 32 and looking into options...
