About Ron

I weigh in at 230, am 5'10" tall and play comedic, dramatic and improv characters from 50 years young and up.
Studied acting with Jeff Bennett, Rick Imberman, Bob Previto and Jim Bonney, (Acting Fundamentals, “The Method”, Scene Study, The Meisner Method) as well as three semesters of Improv classes at Stony Brook University. Additional classes include “Acting in Commercials” with CD Dave Cady, “Acting for Film and TV” at Stony Brook University and “Voice Over Acting” at Hofstra University and Voice Acting lessons with Charles Michael. I am active in the Northport Readers Theater (cold reads of original plays).

Stage appearances have included the plays “A View From The Bridge” (butcher, pickpocket, townsfolk), “A Streetcar Named Desire” (Doctor), “I'm Not Rappaport” (Rappaport), “Speed The Plow” (Charlie Fox), “Sunshine Boys” (Willie), and “The Philadelphia” (Marcus), “Save The Future!” (Langthor-7) “Beneath the Surface” (Mr. Mason), “Going to Paris” (Conductor), “First Impressions” (Henry), “Voices” (Policeman), “1000 Words” (George), “Doctor, Doctor” (Martin) “Meeting Acute” (Bob), which I also directed, “Twins” (lead), “Bingo-Bango” (Ian), “Cyberlove” (Kenneth), “Living Arrangements” (Doug and Charlie), “The Kiss” (Priest), “Dating Catastrophe” (Dating company owner), “Arsenic and Old Lace” (Brophy) “Romance Formula” (Lead), “JFK In Crisis” (Khrushchev, Dave Powers and Professor Donald)”, “Painting The Sistine Chapel” (Charles) “Damn Yankees” (Rocky), and “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” (Milt).

In TV and film, I have worked as background on virtually every TV series and several films produced in the New York City area. I am featured in the Li’l John Rap Video of “Drinkin” as the guy kissing the girl and have done work with Optomen and Red Marble for featured roles several episodes of "Monumental Mysteries", "Mysteries at the Museum" on the Travel Channel, “Mysteries At The Castle” and “Monsters Inside Me”, National Geographic’s “Brain” series and ID Network’s “Haunting Of…”, “Scenes of the Crime”, “Evil Lives Here”, and “Shattered” “True Crime with Aphrodite Jones”, a PSA for the New York City Department of Health as a doctor and as Dominic Charles, the CEO in “The Verboten Scheme”.

Other credits include various commercials, training videos, indie films, print ads and background work.
