Armen Sarvar is a UCLA film program award winning alumni and a selected participant of the 2016 Workshop for Auteurs with Abbas Kiarostami. His short film "The Voice Recorder" won the best narrative short prize from the UCLA film festival and made it into the 2015 Cannes short film corner. The two shorts that he made in Cuba with the late Iranian heavyweight helmer Abbas Kiarostami are in post production stage and are expected to enter international film festival circuits in 2017.
Armen is currently directing a show with an Armenian subtext which is set have it's west coast premiere at the Atwater theater in Los Angeles in early 2017.
