Dan Drysdale is a musician, composer, producer, and documentary filmmaker from Toronto, Ontario. He is a partner in Drywal Media, a Kitchener-based studio that has produced documentaries, films and music videos since 2007.
Dan has provided soundtracks for the award-winning documentary Aakideh: The Art and Legacy of Carl Beam, the short film by Robert Waldeck: Death in the Details and the documentary Better Day: The Sarah Felker Story among others.
He is one half of the critically acclaimed band SolarSolar, who released 2 EPs independently, as well as a full length album through Binary Records. SolarSolar’s music has also been used by MTV’s hit show Teen Wolf .
Dan co-wrote and co-directed the documentary Better Day: The Sarah J Felker Story, which premiered on OutTV Canada.
In 2013, Dan was contracted to compose the score for the Toronto Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon short film.
Unique traits: Dan shows a real sensitivity to the mood and feeling of what the director is trying to get across and creates the perfect fit with music.
