Hello... my name is Lovie Ray Johnson Jr. and I'm an African/Native American/Irish Filmmaker/Producer/Writer/Actor. I was raised an Army brat and was blessed to have played college/professional basketball overseas which helped me to develop a unique flavor for storytelling. I first directed music videos, socially conscious/hip reality-shows, and volunteered time for non-profit programs for homeless youth in the New Mexico.
My experience as an actor in the stage productions of "Amistad" and "For Black Boys" along with films such as "Fright Night" and "Debt to Society" contribute to my ability to bring the character to life.
I'm currently producing the feature films "Supernal Darkness/Protege Project", a psychological action/thriller and The Blackest Yellow (a Faith-based Paranormal/Action Thriller). Using my "craft" as the catalyst my commitment has been to create social awareness and positive change through Film/Television around the areas of child abuse awareness/child sex trafficking and race issues that still plague us today...
My training and life experience combine to provide me a unique lens through which I view life. It is this lens which I apply to the discipline of storytelling as a Filmmaker/Actor/Writer/Director...
