About Jason

I've written 12 feature screenplays in two phases (2007-8 and 2012-present) and hope to complete more soon. Of these, 5 have garnered some sort of recognition. I write in most every genre but my most notable work is in the historical genre. In 2016 I hope to get 2-3 more features written, and a short produced and submitted to festivals.

I read first round scripts for the Austin and Atlanta film festivals. In case you're wondering how many scripts that means, Austin has you read 110 each year. Atlanta is much smaller and I've read 93 over two years. I frequently review on , which I think is the best of the peer review sites, and am nearing 200 total reviews over two-plus years. I also make an effort to read classic screenplays.

I have three college degrees: a BA in History, a BS in Civil Engineering, and an MS in Math. Yes, I've done detailed budget and revenue estimates on my scripts. I enjoy sports and poker. I am something of a genealogy expert. My AcaDeca team won state. I won the geography bee twice. I listen to metal, celtic fiddle, and Roman chant.
