From growing up in Michigan and Texas, I've always been in love with film and the idea of creating characters. Not long after I graduated high school, independent filmmaker William Conlin and makeup effects legend Tom Burman gave me my start by allowing me in Texas to be a researcher for their documentary, MAKING APES: THE ARTISTS WHO CHANGED FILM. Within a year, I flew to Los Angeles for the premiere and since then, I've been fortunate to slowly but surely get started in the makeup effects business working on a number of interesting projects. I still have a lot to learn but am grateful to those who have given me opportunities and taught me the way of the industry.
