I first got hooked on filmmaking when I realized its potential for popular education and cross-cultural exchange. While living in NYC to acquire my skills as a field producer-shooter-editor, I began work on Crossing Arizona, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and won the CINE Masters Series Award for excellence in documentary filmmaking that year.
As a 2011 Fulbright Fellow, I'm grateful to have worked alongside Jordanian filmmakers in the Levant at the height of the Arab Spring.
I relocated to Phoenix in 2012 during production on "Two Americans," which broadcast nationally on Al Jazeera America.
Comfortable behind the camera, in the edit bay and always excited to be in the field, I work for hire while manifesting my own projects. My role as the Industry Manager of ILLUMINATE Film Festival allows me to put my passion for impact filmmaking to good use.
