Lookbook for investors

Currently putting together a lookbook for the feature I am producing, Heart of the Gun, which is part of the 12 Westerns in 12 Months. It has me wondering what everyone here likes to include/ exclude beyond the norm, and why? What have you found that boosted your lookbook responses? Thanks!!

What you are referring to as a 'lookbook' is more commonly called a pitch deck. If you google movie pitch decks, you'll get an idea of what they look like and case studies of what has worked.

Sleep Writing

Does anyone else wake up at silly o'clock, come up with great scenes then kid yourself you will recall it accurately when you wake up. I'm sat here knowing I've lost great material. The thing is if I had sat up and written it down, I'd have broken the stream anyway. Damn I used to have a photographi...

Karen, moleskin is VITAL. I have one. I know other creatives who have them. They are small, often red, and in the drawers of writer's across the globe. Trust me on that one. Get you one.

How many rewrites are enough?

So you just finished your latest masterpiece. Now what? As good old Earnest Hemingway said, "The first draft of anything is shit." But how shitty is your first draft, and how many rewrites are sufficient enough to turn your screenplay from a manure pile to a bar of gold?

Last week, I took an online...

Thanks for the invite, and if you are at all of the mystical persuasion - girl, have I got the screenplay for you. Wizards, lizards, a magic computer and a vortex in Sedona. This is a story of love lost and treasures found, via a life or death quest to learn how happiness works.

Christopher O'Bryant

My wife and I used to live in Gilbert. Nice to meet you. Congratulations on the premiere.
