About Mike

Passionate writer who believes in 3 very important things... Delete... Edit... Rewrite. Took writing in college. Read and evaluated scripts for years. Private person. Compelled to write by some unknown force.

Attended film school. Gravitated towards screenwriting after I wrote some shorts and commercials for other students for their projects and became very popular and in great demand, so much so that I was staying up every night to write the projects for other students while also working on my own projects for school. I wrote numerous commercials, skits, 15-minute shorts, and 30-minute films.

Worked as a script reader, and also was a personal assistant/script reader for a well-known Director/Producer/Writer. I read his original work as well as scripts sent over by studios for him to script doctor (50+). I read some very good scripts as well as some horrendously bad scripts that were being greenlit, which actually made me angry because they were so bad.

I started writing my own scripts and entering some film festivals in the screenplay category. I have definitely experienced some well-deserved success with 53 wins to date.

Unique traits: Screenplays come to me in a mental photograph. In an instant I see the plot, beginning, and ending.
