About Joseph

I am a freelance Audio Engineer, Sound Designer, and Location Recordist based in Sydney. Specialising in sound for picture, I endeavour to create immersive sound designs that help support and drive films, subconsciously captivating and thrilling the audience.

After completing an Advanced Diploma in Audio Engineering & Sound Production at JMC Academy, I went on to graduate as a Master of Design Science (Audio and Acoustics) from the University of Sydney, being placed on the Dean’s List of Academic Excellence. Since completing my studies in 2009, I have worked for big-name clients such as Commonwealth Bank, Coca-Cola Amatil, Blackmores, Coles, and Emirates, spanning platforms from television and cinema, to mobile apps and online content. I have worked on over 20 short films which have screened in over 100 unique festivals across more than 20 countries and right across Australia; a number of which have won multiple awards. I have also done work in the theatre and music industries, including sound design for stage productions, and recording, mixing and producing EPs for various solo artists.
