Best show for a spec script?
There are so many great shows on TV today. Any recommendations for a good show to write a spec script for? What's hot now? I am leaning towards Archer, Sleepy Hollow, or Black List. Any other suggestions?
Don't go for what's hot now. Too many readers (and I am one) are overwhelmed with what's hot now. Write a spec for something you are passionate about.
I'd suggest writing an episode of a show that you love, irregardless of how popular it is. Also, play to your strengths as a writer. I tried Parks & Rec not long ago and wasn't happy with my work, but when I gave Community a shot I was much more confident!
Spec a show that has at least one season behind it and has been renewed for at least a year if possible. Make sure what you spec is a show you really like--it will help you enormously to watch the sho...
