Hi, I'm a wannabe screenwriter who has written four episodes of an obviously brilliant and hilarious, but as yet to be commissioned comedy drama. I'm also terrible at networking. Other than sending the scripts in blind hope to production companies how else do people suggest I get myself noticed? Cheers Phin
Thanks guys. Stanley, I can send you an outline of the idea and some samples from the opening episode?
Did you copywrite/regiter your script? If so protected, you could shoot a one or two minute trailer and shop that around.

Expand commentWin/place in a prestigious contest like the Slamdance TV Screenplay Competition or Austin Film Festival Teleplay Competition. When you do, you will have credibility for your query letters, and some managers will proactively reach out to you. I'm a volunteer Board member for the nonprofit CineStory Foundation. Our feature contest is long-tenured, but our first annual TV contest is happening as we speak - CineStory.org. You may also apply for network writing programs such as the ABC Writers' Program.
Thanks Regina & JD. I wrote a short a couple of years back which was an interesting experience. I'll also look up the Slamdance TV Screenplay competition.
@Phin, my pleasure! Break a leg!
