Hello Derrick, Richard, Actors, Actresses and other "Creatives" and Entertainers, Thank you for inviting me to your new social networking site. I am becoming a big believer in that as I have always appreciated the importance and value of professional networking and social media is a great vehicle for that. Before I continue, I have to explain that while I would like to think of myself as a "creative" within my particular field, I am not in the "Creative" fields for which you have specifically designated this social networking site, i.e. Entertainment. However, my profession can and often does serve the "creative" and entertainment field and I have done so myself and would like to continue serving the entertainment field that this site targets. You see, I am an intellectual property lawyer but I specialize in the "softer" or nontechnical side of IP, namely copyright and trademark protection, counseling and enforcement. The rest of my firm practices a great deal of patent law. That is why I am responding to your invitation and messages here and have completed the relevant portions of my profile.
