Amy Schwartz is a Chicago stand-up comedian, writer, producer, improvisor/actor. Amy is a proud Michigander and graduate of the Western Michigan University. Schwartz is a graduate of the Second City writing program and a graduate of the iO Theatre improv program and sitcom pilot writing comedy lab courses.
Amy was a writer and ensemble cast member for Outside The Box at Laugh Factory Chicago. Schwartz is the creator, co-writer, and co-producer of the sketch show Mr. Pat’s 701 Club at Playground Theatre.. Amy created, produced, hosted, and performed stand-up for Be@ch Party Comedy. She co-founded and performed in the improv group The Real Housewives of Chicago. Schwartz co-produced, performed stand-up and co-hosted Black Star Comedy.
She has written shows such as iPocalpyse Now! And acted in The Tonight of the Living Dead. Schwartz has written and performed on the Mo Show at Annoyance Theatre and performs stand-up at Annoyance Theatre.
She recently co-wrote three comedy pilots, which consist of two original comedy pilots and a spec script. She is currently producing and performing stand-up comedy for a veterans fundraiser in Chicago. You can see Amy performing stand up all around North America. She has performed at in festivals such as Chicago Women’s Funny Fest and Gilda’s Laugh Fest.
