About Gustavo

Gustavo Enrique Bernal Pico, born in Caracas Venezuela on November 23, 1973. Become interested in filmmaking, specially editing since his early years. On May 1993 start working as assistant for a film editor in Bolivar Films, one of the largest productions companies in Venezuela, at the same time he start study filmmaking. By 1994 direct his first short film, “This is a Recording” wining Viart and also participate in several international festivals. Later in 1996 he directs “PI” a sci-fi short film on which earn important international festivals in Cuba, Italy and Canada. During the course of 10 years he become a very busy editor in the industry working for commercial productions companies, and local and international networks also earning several awards and recognitions. In 1994 he become the youngest instructor in Escuela de Cine y TV in Caracas. On 2003 he move to New York to continue pursuing his career in postproduction. Now he is very demanded in the field editing and working on feature films, music videos for highly respected artists and commercials for clients like Direct TV, Nissan, Ad Council, Spike DDB, Crate & Barrel, Home Depot, Sprint, Lexus, NYC 2012, Warner Brothers TV.
