About Edwin

I am a card-carrying member of the Mensa International high IQ society who teaches SAT, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT prep. In 2006, I received my MFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University, where my thesis script Space Cadets won the Cecil Award for the film school’s Best Screenplay. Space Cadets was later optioned before placing as a Finalist in the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and BlueCat Screenwriting Competition (2011). In addition, the script achieved SemiFinalist or QuarterFinalist status in contests such as the Nicholl Fellowship (2011 & 2013), Austin Screenwriting Contest (2013), and Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition (2013).
A few months ago, I wrote a semi-autobiographical sequel to Space Cadets as a TV pilot titled Space Cadets: The Next Generation. This is the script I am currently submitting to contests.
