Horror film

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for writing a horror film. I already know to have an actual plot, and not just something that pops up on the screen. Also how to get the audience feel a certain way about a character, or the situation. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

C Write out an outline followingGSU- GOALS- What is the goal of your main character? STAKES What would happen if they fail to achieve it? URGENCY- Put in a metophorical ticking bomb (ie they only have a few hours to save themselves etc.) Good luck.

Hi Connor, Establish really clear rules of the game: What can kill the monster/vampire? Can ghosts lift objects? What happens if a person walks into a ghost? Create a clear track as to how the charact...

Horror/Halloween Short film script

Hi there, I'd like to make a short horror film to be produced either this year or next year for the Halloween season. I'm looking for something that is low/no budget with a fairly small cast (up to 4 primary?), simple on locations and set dec (horror usually uses every day items anyway). Up to 10 mi...

Hello Ryan, was just interested in the length and/or topic required. Also would be guessing it's for next season at this state. What's your timeline?

Ryan Atkins

Most likely. I think I have too much on my plate right now for this season. Having a short for next would be great though.

Looking for Ideas

What kind of genre or type of storyline would travel well in China, Canada and around the world? What type of stories do you want to see set in China? I'm trying to avoid what has been done successfully in China (martial art film, historical epic set in China's past).

"China, Canada" how about a drama about the Chinese workers that built the Canadian railroad. There also the WW2 holding camps in BC that housed many Chinese immigrants, David Suzuki was on of them.

Frank Wood

How about a Chinese remake of Rose Marie?

Todd Terwilliger

What stories do you want to tell?

Norton Mah

Thanks for the ideas. I'm looking to pitch a feature film idea via the Whistler Film Festival (Canada-China Gateway for Film). Kem: docs or fictional films shot in China won't work because it has to p...

Looking for some feedback on a film outline

Allo x] I have an upcoming project in the works . The film outline is done and I just want some feedback . Mostly to see if this actually has potential. If you want to read it just let me know . Its a psychological thriller

Onyx London

its about four pages .

I'd be happy to take a look and give you notes, if you'd like. Is it on your profile?

Mark Ratering

Don't do outline first do a 450 word synopsis and a logline. Maybe others won't tell you I will. Know1 wants to wade through your notes.

Todd Terwilliger

At this early stage, follow whatever process works best for you. If you get to the point of trying to send it out into the industry, you can worry about formal synopsis, treatments, etc. I'd be happy to take a look.

I'd be happy to look at what you're working on
