About Doug

I'm the author of two books. The first one, Rhubarb Culture, is about a Survivalist and his Suicidal Lover who match wits with the obese Leader of a New Age Suicide Cult, a demented Businessman and local Police who believe they are serial killers.

My second book, American Karma - Twilight of the Marijuana Gods, in a memoir, of sorts, that chronicles my transformation from a hippie to an pyramid scheme salesman to a panhandler who finds redemption in a crackhouse of Satan-worshipping heroin addicts.

I'm also featured in a compilation of Lip Service Stories spoken word performances in a book called BadAss.

I've performed my monologues, such as My Big Fat Greek Dick, Nitro & Glycerin, Mudfishing & The Boneyard at the Actor's Playhouse in Coral Gables, Florida as part of the Lip Service Stories event, as well as A Loophole in Law of Karma at the Life Out Loud event in Ybor City, Florida.

Just recently, my monologue Escort Wanted was directed and performed by two different directors and actors at the New Theatre Festival in Miami.

My stage play, Saint Peter at the Gate, was produced in Toronto, Canada and Boca Raton, Florida.

I am currently in the process of producing and filming my Flash Play NO PICTURES PLEASE! in Wynwood, Florida.
