Ms. Certa has line produced six independent films, her most recent had her in Ethiopia for a film entitled “Difret” which won the audience award at Sundance & at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2014, intended for a 2015 release. “Difert” is a dramatic feature based on a true story of a 14-year old girl who is on trial for murder of her kidnaper and rapist. In 1996, this was the first case ever of murder in self-defense in the country of Ethiopia.
Other titles include the horror film “Bit Parts”, a political mockumentary “A New Tomorrow”, comedies "Target Audience 9.1" and "What If People Died", and lastly the action thriller “Circadian Rhythm”, which had her working alongside Seymour Cassel, Jonathan Banks, Rachel Miner and David Anders.
Unique traits: Played professional football with the LA Amazons for a season.
