Sarah is a writer and director based in Los Angeles interested in creating and developing femme-centric narratives touching on intimacy and imagination.
Sarah wrote and directed her first short film, “Night Life” while studying filmmaking at Studio 4. “Night Life” (2015) premiered at Chicago’s Reeling LGBTQ festival.
For her second film, Sarah worked closely with EP Aletha Shepherd to develop a script based on an experience of sexual assault. “Craning” (2017) premiered at LA Shorts Festival and was nominated for Best Performance by a Lead as well as Best Editing at NFMLA in 2018.
From 2017-2018 Sarah collaborated with Flora Birnbaum to develop a web series “Cleansed” that she co-wrote and co-directed. "Cleansed" premiered at SXSW and was nominated for a Grand Jury Award for episodic content.
Sarah is currently working on a feature project, “Everything and the Universe,” that she has written and plans to direct in 2022.
