HEROES, the series, is a serialized procedural military medical drama set in 2005 Iraq at the Combat Support Hospital (CaSH) in Baghdad. It is about the daily struggle of doctors and staff to keep their humanity while fighting to save the lives of soldiers and civilians alike.

The pilot, "One of Ours," introduces the world of the series - where the taking and saving of lives collide - and the first season's ensemble characters as their personal stories and beliefs begin to intertwine. The pilot and each episode begins with three trauma victims chosen by the fateful course of three deadly projectiles. How our main characters interact with these three victims and each other will reveal over the course of each season who they are and why we should care.
