I am currently a student at the university for the Creative Arts studying TV Production.
I have seven years of editing experience as well as having directed/edited several shorts films for university projects, with my most recent project being my first music video, which I shot, directed and edited myself.
I currently work as a freelancer in my spare time as a video editor for an independent, online-run 2D animation studio.
I'm also working on a massive side-project:
So, I'm deciding on creating an Irish Dance piece for a pitch element I want to use. We all know that Michael Flatley was the genius behind pioneering Irish Dance into the mainstream world, but I want to do something different.
Create an Irish Dance show, but have all women, as a sign of female empowerment.
But, before any of this, I need to create a dance and music piece to help a pitch, and that's where I need help from you. As a university student, I cannot afford to pay anyone for their times and efforts, however, you will be credited for this.
I have ideas of the song I want to be composed (in terms of the tone of the song) and the dance idea (the story of that specific dance), but I need help to bring it to life.
Yes this is a huge idea, but I believe it can be done, with enough work and dedication. As Michael Flatley once said: "Follow your dreams, because you wouldn't want it so bad if you couldn't have it."
If you are interested, please let me know, this would be a great opportunity!
