About Clarence

Clarence Ma (Director/Writer/Producer) was born on September 18, 1984 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Growing up in a conservative Chinese family, Clarence was expected to pursue a practical career such as a Doctor, Engineer, or Accountant, but since the age of 8, he dreamt of becoming a filmmaker. Clarence received a BBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and worked for two years at Central Pacific Bank as a Financial Analyst in Investments. Clarence got the opportunity to chase his dreams of filmmaking in 2010 as he started the Film & Television Production Graduate program at Loyola Marymount University, leaving everything behind. Finally getting to entrench himself in his passion. So far he has directed 10 short/new media/music video projects and produced over 25 various projects.
