David Gilbank started out as an experienced, multi-award winning advertising copywriter.
David has worked for a number of UK and Australian media groups, advertising agencies and also spent time in journalism and PR.
His first TV script, 606 – an exciting thriller set amongst Asian drug gangs in Bradford – was optioned by Storyboard TV in New York.
His first feature film script ‘Cull’ won the Hollywood Independent Producers Award, Astoria Film Festival and Long Island Film Festival – Best Horror Script.
Having worked in advertising & marketing for over 20 years, he has an understanding and instinct for what makes a project commercial. He is simply not interested in writing ‘art house’ films.
