About Tanner

Working in the industry as a writer, director, producer, and actor, Tanner Beard created Silver Sail Entertainment, an all media based production company. "SSE", established during the industry strike in 2008, as a source to create professional media content has since produced projects including: a travel show, award wining short films, commercials, music videos, two seasons of a web-based television series and feature films such as, ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate’, starring Eric Balfour, Henry Thomas, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Summer Glau, Kevin Alejandro and Lou Taylor Pucci. Silver Sail Entertainment recently executive produced the critically acclaimed ‘Hellion’ starring Aaron Paul and Juliette Lewis.
Tanner himself has recently completed Executive Producing three films under icon Terrance Malick and producer Sarah Green, starring talent such as Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman. The third of which is a documentary, ‘Voyage of Time’, exec. produced along side Brad Pitt, who also narrates the film. Currently Tanner’s next two projects are an animated feature entitled ‘Fridgeport’ he co-created with Paul Khoury and is producing along side, Liam Hemsworth and Ashley Greene. His latest passion project; a new Christmas comedy ‘Just be Claus’, which Beard co-wrote with Tim Skousen and is produced by Jared Hess both from "Napoleon Dynamite".
Not only a seasoned director and producer, Tanner as an actor debuted his first feature to direct and star. 'The Legend of Hell’s Gate’ currently playing on STARZ and his since played roles in ‘The Letter’ (Winona Ryder, James Franco), ‘Thunder Broke the Heavens’ (2015), ‘The Doh Dah Man’ (20150 and Robert Rodriguez’s TV series, ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. Tanner’s latest acting endeavor is the multi-award winning up coming ‘6 Bullets to Hell’, a grindhouse spaghetti western due for release in (2016), Beard directed and co-starred in this throwback to the Clint Eastwood and Sergio Leone classics of the late 60's.
