Michael is media economist, trained journalist, technologist and award-winning producer at MiriquidiFilm and has been working in the media industry since 1999. He worked at KirchGroup´s International Co-Production Dept., on US Commercials for e.g. Warner Bros. out of Toronto, at ZDF as well as for the EU at the Free State of Saxony in Brussels. He worked long-term at leading German indie film production and distribution company Kinowelt (now Studiocanal) on several fiction and non-fiction projects, supervised international production out of Los Angeles and received international awards for his work. He then worked as crossmedia concepter and analyst for a multi-awarded research project at the German film university Potsdam-Babelsberg and worked on a variety of multi-platform and interactive projects. His films and interactive works were shown on many festivals like Festival de Cannes and received several awards. MiriquidiFilm has offices in Munich, Leipzig, Babelsberg and Los Angeles.
He served as Jury member for different film festivals, is expert at the Berlinale Talent Campus, jury member for the Intl. 3D Society Los Angeles and member of the 3D Guild. He researched on Interactive Television at MIZ Media Innovation Center Babelsberg, was invited to lecture in Germany and abroad like Eye Institute Amsterdam, in Cannes, Munich, Xian, San Francisco and others and contributed to a book by Lance Weiler´s RebootStories writing about „Transmedia Finance“. Michael continuously advanced his knowledge and network at the Mediaschool´s Multi Platform Business School, Closing the Gap: Investment for 360° content, Frankfurt StoryDrive, 3D Stereo Media Conference, Games Developer Conference San Francisco, DIY Days, The Cross Media Forum London, The Pixel Lab 2013, IDFA, EAVE and Eurodoc. His tutors include Lance Weiler, Michel Reilhac, Peter de Maegd, Nuno Bernardo, Timo Vuorensola etc.
