About Eva

EVA SAUNDERS is the domestic Creator-in-Chief of a one-and-a-half cat household (the half-cat being her picky husband). She is also an award-winning visual storyteller and passionate entertainment professional from Germany, who relocated to Los Angeles to improve her storytelling skills at the AFI Conservatory. She has several artsy degrees in film, photography and design that have served her well in ten years of freelancing, but it was with her proof-of-concept short film STRINGS OF HOPE and the matching feature script that she earned her first option and a certificate from UCLA Extension's Writer’s Program. Over the years, she has honed her storytelling skills in a professional environment as a short form content creator, for example at Buzzfeed’s food video branch “Tasty”. A poster child millennial, she also loves to feed her avocado- and attention-deprived soul by writing and directing stories about independent women, like her award winning short films MOONLIT NIGHT and MY LAST RESPECTS. As a Type-A empath, she thrives in telling honest stories that inspire people to think twice about their privileged, every-day lives. But she also has a humorous side that she expresses in resourceful and comedic cat shorts that she produces in the comfort of her home and for which she was recently recognized by the City of Los Angeles and New Filmmakers LA. Eva is currently developing several TV pilots and features for her long-form debut and - to please her cat Bobby - adapted his award-winning short film into an ongoing web series.
