Chet Simmons

Born in Southern Cali, my grandfather was the skipper of Stan Laurel's yacht, back in the day. My aunt learned to swim on Catalina Island by Johnny Wiesmeller aka Tarzan. So, I guess you could say I have entertainment indirectly in my background. Of course, that was ages ago and of little, if any, impact today. (Although I would have loved to have sailed on Bogie's yacht.) I digress.

You could say that I'm a Gaffer with the knowledge and experience to bring out the best in your cinematography. My aim is to make your vision a reality with as little drama as possible (You have enough of that to deal with). I enjoy what I do and do it well.

Before I became a gaffer, I worked in the advertising/commercial world as a director/cinematographer/creative director/copywriter/producer things. In the process I've had an opportunity to work with some very talented people.
