Antonia Villalon has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of the Fine and Applied Arts with a focus in theater, media production and music. After receiving her BA she went on to study acting with Jessica Houde-Morris at The Houde School of Acting followed by nine months in Los Angeles, studying with Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West. Once she planted roots in Wisconsin she decided to go back to school for a Journalism Certificate at Madison College.
Prior to completing the journalism certificate program in May of 2016 Villalon interned with Communication and Strategic Marketing at Madison College as a co-editor for their faculty and staff online newsletter, Matters, and worked as the broadcast editor and contributing staff writer for the school paper, The Clarion.
When not fighting the urge to take classes or travel to new and exciting places, Villalon works part time at Madison City Channel as a production assistant and assistant director, and works full-time as a Promotions Coordinator - peppered with directing and editing the shows - at Wisconsin's 57. Villalon also freelances as an actor/voice-over actor and recently performed in the spring production of Clybourne Park, directed by Miranda Hawk.
In Villalon's sparse off time she likes to spend it with her partner, hang out with family, write, prowl for new acting gigs, attempt DIY projects/crafts, paint, play with her dogs (or as she calls them, her "dawgs") and is working on getting back into running, yoga and music.
So, clearly boredom is never an issue.
