Jon Cvack

Jon was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago in Orland Park, Illinois.

Graduating from Loyola University Chicago in 2010 with degrees in Philosophy and Film & Media Studies, Jon moved to Los Angeles the following fall and began working at the new media startup Maker Studios, moving up from PA to Production Coordinator to Production Manager. He eventually scaled back his hours to dedicate more time to developing his first feature.

In the last few years, Jon’s feature and short screenplays have been official finalists in the Austin Film Festival, Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope Screenwriting Festival, Hollywood Screenplay Competition, Oaxacan Film Festival, and Beverly Hills Film Festival. He was cinematographer on the short “Wronged” which premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2008. He’s currently editing his first novel, working on his next feature, and lives in Culver City.
