I finally have received a request for a script. It's been over a years since the last one. Hopefully, this one will be more successful

I'm a writer / producer / director in the Bay Area seeking representation, to develop my network and find potential co-production partners in both LA and SF. Just wondering how best to approach my social media contacts? I have over 2500 LinkedIn connections and hoping to grow my network here on Stage32 and other platforms. Has anyone had any luck sending queries this way to agents, managers or producers? Or, is this something that is typically frowned upon? Just wondering what has worked for others and ideas or suggestions in this arena.

I’m a writer / producer / director at Ignite Productions, LLC. My feature social documentary, “PROGRAMMING THE NATION?” (2011 / 2012) - www.programmingthenation.com - was released theatrically in NYC at the Quad Cinema, LA at Laemmle's Sunset 5, and SF at The Balboa Cinema, via IFC. Foreign broadcast rights have been sold internationally via Sideways Film, along with domestic digital rights to Amazon, iTunes, Hulu and others via FilmBuff. Our company has retained DVD and educational rights to the film. A recent 2 minute video I did on the subject matter for THE TRUTH SERIES, produced by UPROXX and WOVEN Media, has been viewed over 2.8 million times on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/UPROXX/videos/10153514121056337 - I’m also a two-time quarterfinalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Competition with two separate scripts.
