Hi Chris. I'm RB, Founder and CEO of Stage 32. As a screenwriter, producer, actor and filmmaker, I know first-hand the challenges all creatives face finding work, landing representation, launching projects, securing funding and simply making the connections that will make a difference in their careers. That's why I created Stage 32. Since our launch in September of 2011, the community has grown to 1,000,000+ members representing every country on the planet making Stage 32 the social network uniquely populated with the most creative people on Earth.
This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

Basically, ever contest on this website is using Coverfly to read their scripts... so don't believe them when they say professionals read your stuff. Random losers from a ghost town in Nebraska are reading your script.

Expand commentFrom reading the comments, I'm seeing some folks have direct experience with Coverfly, others do not. I'm very pleased with how the organization runs. I have two scripts on Coverfly and know for a fact that the scripts are evaluated by the actual screenwriting competition/contest and not by Coverfly readers. Additionally, one of the services they have is called Pitch Week where producers, agents and managers select writers who they would like to receive pitches from. The higher your score, the better. I participated in one and it was pretty cool. A lot of writers have gotten managers and agents by utilizing this service (I already had a rep but it was nice to know other industry people were interested in my work). If you're still unsure, check out some of the writers who are listed on the platform and you will see their scripts have placed quite high in various, LEGITIMATE competitions such as Page, Nicholl, WeScreenplay, Shore Scripts et al. Anyway, that's my two cents. If you enter competitions a lot, Coverfly is worth it because you can truly see how folks perceive your work.
And if you'd like to read feedback from a reputable competition on why they utilize Coverfly (i.e., Page Awards), then here you go: https://pageawards.com/2018/06/06/regarding_coverfly/
In the end, placing in competitions is what you make it. You can either sit back and wait for a phone call or you can leverage it for something better.

Expand commentHey Mehdi Javaherian great to have you here! I realize this original post is 3 YEARS old! Wow! The thing that a lot of writers have had success with are our "Double Recommend" lookbook and contest finalist lookbooks. Since April, there have been more than 100 requests from executives who found writers through either our "Double Recommend" lookbook or contest lookbooks. Pretty amazing exposure. Hit me up at j.mirch@stage32.com if you'd like to discuss further.
