Ilse Violin

Ilseviolin is a South African Electric Club Violinist specialize EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Carl Cox kick started her Solo Dance album called Club Deluxe with collaborations of EDM Dj's like Infected Mushroom still to be released.
This versatile violinist creates a mind blowing combination of live music where she plays with and opens for International Dj's at Dance Parties & World Club tours like Paul van Dyk and Above & Beyond.

Ilseviolin is the studio violinist for George Brown from Kool and the Gang who received their star on the Hollywood Strip October 2015 who she is also collaborating with on her new album. She recorded the strings for Kool and the Gang's Jazz Christmas Album Dec 2015 that was released worldwide October 2014 and recorded a track for Kid Rock.

She has shared the stage with world class artists like Yo-Yo Ma and recorded on labels such as Bob Marley's son Ziggy Marley, Hawaiian Lyon, Kanye West, Smokey Robinson, Snoop & Xhibit from "Pimp my Ride" & Apethy, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes...

IlseV is also the Afrikaans translator of Tamar Jackson's "Living with Aids Foundation"

This versatile violinist has played in more than 15 orchestras worldwide, transforming from Classical Concert Master playing for the King of Tonga, to a Solo Trance artist where she adds a new dimension to these styles of live music in club environment @ Dance and Trance Parties & World Club Tours like Chemistry, Slinky, Gatecrasher...

Ilseviolin's track has just been released on Lange Records as a Light Club mix and a Dark Club mix with Dj Lange This track has just been released on Lange Records as a Light Club Mix and a Dark Club Mix with Dj Lange. This track will also be remixed on her ClubDeluxe Dance album with collaborations of other EDM Dj's still to be released. "Violin's Revenge" features on Lange’s Trance Intercity Radio 148 as well. "Violin's Revenge" has been played on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance Episode Nr 636 as the 8th track.

She already played for The South African President, F.W. de Klerk in parliament at age12, shared the stage with The New Zealand Prime Minister (Helen Clark) and was at age 18 asked to entertain ex USA vice-president, El Gore on a trip to RSA.

In 2009 she once again performed in Hollywood and recorded for Kanye West’s label G.o.o.d Music.

In January 2012 she opened for Paul van Dyk @ Gatecrasher in Cape Town South Africa

Ilseviolin will be staring in Michael Madsen's latest Hollywood film, "Starlet Massacre" in 2016.


She has shared the stage with numerous prestigious artists in the House and Electro field and has featured many times as guest artist with well known bands in Australia and New Zealand , South Africa and Los Angeles, like bass players from Midnight Oil and Blam Blam Blam, The Feelers, Halo Sailor, Peter Urlich, Hayley Westenra, Satelite Spies, Headroom, Neelix, Pascal & Pearce, Symphonix, NickE Louder, Tony Finger, The Toledo Show, X-Funk


IlseV was trained in Cape Town under top mentor Louis van der Watt (currently lecturor at Stellenbosch University) and regularly played and recorded for RSA radio & TV in all 6 major cities in South Africa and Namibia, as well as BBC.

She starred and played in a International Big Screen Ad for Dunhill Sigarettes by Saatchi & Saatchi.

She is also backed and sponsored by the Mutha FM radio station in Cape Town South Africa.
